Guide to using your Kivo Red Light Device
Using your Kivo panel is simple and straight forward... here's a quick guide to getting the most from your panel.
How to use Kivo Small Red Light Panels
- Small Kivo panels like our 300 series, are ideal for targeted therapy of joints, hands, or the face.
- Place the panel on a level surface that won't be easily knocked over - for your face, we recommend a table, for any other part of the body you can use the floor, stool or chair, etc. We do offer stands which make it extremely easy to position and target the unit.
- Remove clothing from the area if required, clean and cleanse the skin from all oils, creams, etc - these can affect the depth of the light and block infrared light from reaching deeper into your body.
- Place the area between 10-20cm from your Kivo panel
- Relax!
- You may notice a slight warming, this is normal, it will not be strong enough to burn, so it is safe to touch the panel.
- We recommend an near-infrared session be 10-12 minutes, and a red light only session of a maximum of 30 minutes with a small panel, you can target one area of your body, and then another session on another part.
- Once you have completed the session, allow the unit to cool for 5-10 minutes
- We recommend no more than 2 treatments, per area, per day, with 12 hours apart for the first week, then once per day - every 5 days take a break. Doing any more than this and the outcomes can be reversed
How to use Kivo Medium Red Light Panels
- Medium Kivo panels like our 1000 series, are ideal for larger areas of the body, or multiple issues in the same area. Or for the face, and neck at the same time.
- As these panels are fairly large, often a stand is helpful in positioning the panel to the exact area needed - these panels are great for ambient LED Red Light to help with mood
- For a body treatment, we recommend a maximum of 10 minutes of near-infrared and/or 20 minutes of red light only, twice a day for the first 5 days, with 12 hours between treatments.
- Once you have completed the session, allow the unit to cool for 5-10 minutes
